trainees will be able to access the theory training in their own time, allowing them to work through it at their own pace and develop a thorough understanding of the awps they work with. it will test their knowledge so that when they come to do the practical training they can feel confident that they have acquired the necessary knowledge. trainees will still need to carry out a practical and theoretical exam, but by studying the theory in advance there should be more time available for trainees to practice and develop their skill at operating a awps. they will receive a receipt once they have completed their elearning which they can then take to a training center as proof that they have completed the elearning. the trainee will still be required to complete a theory exam and then complete the practical aspect of the course. what does it mean for trainers? trainers have always been under tight time constraints to deliver both the theory knowledge and develop the trainee’s practical skills. we hope that the new elearning will provide the trainers with more time to focus on each trainee and ensure that they have as much practice on the awps as possible before carrying out the exam. when is the elearning launching and will it be available to me?
